The architecture of the building
A sustainable school building that is compatible with IRISZ has been designed in a particular way: a living system has provided an inspirational example. The building generates energy, breathes and processes CO2 to make oxygen and purifies water. The concepts of cradle to cradle are put into practice with optimum effect. Solar collectors for the electricity, natural ventilation for the optimum supply of oxygen to the brain, water management using rainwater and the biological purification of waste water…
How do we want the school building itself to enrich the education? An example.
The building shows children how its technology works so that children become fascinated by technology and engineering. The architecture supports and confirms the way in which those all involved work and learn. The use and layout of spaces and rooms are flexible. Some areas are specific and this gives them a more permanent form and function.
