The IRISZ work concept

IRISZ is a work concept that underpins all our services, training & development. It offers insights and practical frameworks that can help design the education at your school so that it becomes sustainable and future-oriented.

IRISZ stands for:

  • Inspiration (and growth): like all living systems, we are focused on growth, specifically on the possibilities open to children, teachers and management.
  • Relationships (in the personal arena): we work from a basis of solidarity, a match with the client that ensures that both we and the client are happy with the approach and the planned result.
  • Interdependence (sustainability): we work from the deep understanding that everything is connected, close and far in place and time. From one coordinating idea of the system follows automatically the pursuit of sustainability.
  • Serendipity (the value found but not looked for): connectedness exists not only in place and time, cause and consequence, but also in meaning. Synchronicity is the explanation of less evident parallels and it reinforces the sense of interconnectedness and of one comprehensive system.

  • Being (self): IRISZ aims to bring about the full use of the potential of people and organisations, in order that they may become who they are at their very core. If IRISZ can give you insight into who you are, you too can set your sights accordingly. From seeing to being.

School of the future

The importance of architecture
An essential aspect of system-based thinking is the underlying architecture of the system. When innovative development is involved, the architecture of a process is an important factor for the success of the innovation. Within IRISZ, we see the architecture of the learning process, the curriculum and the leadership as important resources for supporting children in a more meaningful way in their learning process. With a view to achieving a fully sustainable educational development, we also focus our attention on the architecture of the community and the building.
