This is IRISZ: alliance and work concept
The independent advisors Guus Geisen, Eveline Havenith, Hans Leistra and Juliette van Dijk come together in IRISZ, an alliance of the like-minded who bring a development-oriented work concept. We work independently of one another and, as necessary, we join forces so that we can make optimum use of one other’s insights and perspectives. The starting point for our work is always your wishes; every time we guide a process, we are led by the question you raise. This question may derive from any layer of your education organisation; the leader, the teacher, the team, the child… The answer may come from any of various alliances; the school management, teaching teams, parents….
Building the bridge to your daily practice, together
Our roots lie in the field of education and we have years of experience, as lecturers/teachers and as managers. We know the day-to-day reality of teaching from personal experience and we speak the language of both teachers and administrators. So, in no way are we consultants who come to tell you how things should be done. On the contrary, we take your question as our starting point. Next, we translate theoretical knowledge about system-based thinking, sustainable learning and countless other connected insights to the daily practice of your education organisation. Under sources you will find references to the body of thought that we use when designing the guidance process.
Embracing change permanently
IRISZ is most definitely not yet another concept or type of educational reform. Rather, we offer the tools you need to give all the changes that happen at school and in society a lasting place. IRISZ is essentially different because it starts with the fundamentals: your organisation’s vision and the system that underlies your school. We offer integrated guidance. This involves looking at every element in connection with every other element, even if your question focuses on just one minor aspect. Surveying the totality with an eye for detail, that is our aim.
Long-term vision and short-term interventions
Would you like to make optimum use of our expertise? If so, together with you, we will embark on a development path in order to structure your organisation according to the principles of IRISZ. And in the short term, too, we can offer you countless interventions, for example in the form of competence-based workshops and training courses. In these activities, too, we will focus on long-term solutions rather than on the symptoms. Sometimes all that is needed is to enable the lecturer/teacher to reconnect with his or her original motivation.
What distinguishes IRISZ is our personal approach; we really do work from within the relationship. In terms of content, the pillars of our approach are system-based thinking and the child’s learning, with a focus on the child’s future. You can read more about this in our vision.
